Pavitra Mala. These garlands are traditionally used in Vishnu temples during an annual festival called Pavitrotsavam. These garlands are considered extremely auspicious and sacred and they are made from pure or raw silk. These mala or silk garlands are sold in either solid colours or in a combination of five different colours. In the event fresh flower garlands are not available, these silk garlands can be used to adorn your home icons.
