Our Name and Logo
Akhshaya is a Sanskrit word which means ‘everlasting or eternal’. It is an apt name for this business which was divinely inspired.
The jewel in the Akhshaya logo is called a Kaustubha. According to Hindu mythology, when the Gods and the Asuras churned the ocean, fourteen treasures emerged from it. The Kaustubha was the fourth treasure that emerged from the ocean. It is said to be the most valuable jewel in the world.
Our Core Competency
Generally, deities worshipped at home are small in size. Getting the right crown or ornament can sometimes be quite a challenge.
Here at Akhshaya, we hope to dispel that constraint and delight you with customized ornaments and decoration items for your specific needs. Our core competency is in custom-making Hindu icons, jewellery, prayer items and decoration paraphernalia for home and temple worship. We also sell Indian-themed decorative items like paintings and fancy lamps.
Our Accomplishments
We have made beautiful prayer ornaments in gold, silver and copper for temples and home deities around the world.These include crowns (kireedam), body armour (kavajam), 18 weapons (aayutham) for Ambal and Vajravel & Sakthivel for Murugan.
